🌧️🌤️ Watching the Weather
We are watching the weather for our time of community outreach tomorrow. Look here for updates in the morning and get with Fr. Michael if you’ve got any questions.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? - Matt 5:44-46

Don’t forget! We will not have Potluck or Evening Prayer tonight.
We’ll be out in the neighborhood on Saturday and back to our normal Wednesday schedule starting next week.
Check the calendar to stay updated on all our activities.

We’re ready to meet our neighbors! Join us on Saturday 9/16 or 10/7 at 10a as we go out into the neighborhood to share our ministry.
We’ve got — the very handsome — flyers. All we need is you!
Nota bene: We will not have Potluck or evening prayer this Wednesday, 9/13, as Fr. Michael will be at a retreat in PA.

There is nothing better for a man than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God; for apart from him who can eat or who can have enjoyment? Ecclesiastes 2:24-25, RSV
How To Actually Celebrate Work on Labor Day is a great article from The Institute for Faith, Work & Economics.

Love thy Enemies, Grow in the Lord
Let us be aware of the times we walk past those opportunities God has placed in our path. Embrace the normal means of grace in the regular gatherings of God’s people. When we gather with God’s people and neglect our own desires for our time, God will sharpen us and we will experience a joy that surpasses all understanding.
